GENERAL HORSE TRAINING
IN-HAND, UNDER SADDLE, PROBLEM SOLVING
Mandy has been training more than 30 years. She first learned how to "cowboy" horses under her first mentor. When she was 18 she found herself working in Colorado, learning to be more of a horseman, and listening to the horse under Mark Rashid's mentorshiop. Since then Mandy has established her own way of connecting with the horse and understands that the foundation is the single most important part of training the horse. Mandy trains an all-around horse that can go on to any discipline. If you have a specific discipline you want your horse to learn that will be the main focus of training AFTER the foundation and basic riding skills every horse should know AND as long as your horse is capable and willing to perform that discipline.
Mandy communicates every step of the way with honesty and integrity. Everyone goes througha consultation process to see if we are all a fit for each other.We do not want to waste anyone's time or money!
MUSTANG GENTLING
AND BASIC GROUND MANNERS
We specialize in training wild mustangs. Mandy worked with her first mustang in the 1990's under the guidance of Mark Rashid. Mandy entered her first Extreme Mustang Makeover in 2013 with THREE wild mustangs for the Mustang Million. Since them Mandy has made the top 10 Finals and became Grand Champion of the Extreme Mustang Makeover in 2024.
This training selection is for gentling and/or basic ground work including haltering, leading, tying, loading, bathing, and picking up feet. This can also include preparing your facility for a wild mustang, you can use our facility to adopt a wild mustang, we can help you find your mustang. As we say-just ask!
Mustang Under Saddle
These mustangs are limited as to who we accept
If your mustang was gentled, and training was started by Mandy or one of her mustang trainer affiliates, then it qualifies for training under saddle with Mandy. See "general horse training" section for more information about what we provide. If you rescued a mustang or do not know it's history, we do not accept them for this program; however, we will try to connect you with an experienced mustang trainer who is willing to work with you.
You can also inquire about available mustangs currently in saddle training or already trained. Unsure if your mustang qualifies-just ask! We always do a consultation before we decide.

When in doubt-just ask
Perhaps you simply want a tune up because your horse has not been ridden in a while. Or did you get a new horse that is supposed to ride but you do not really know where to start or do not want to get on the first time? Would you like to teach your horse tricks like the lay down or maneuvering over obstacles? Are you wanting to show or compete with your horse? Do you love everything about your horse-except that one thing you want fixed? The best place to start is with a consultation so we can form a plan. If we cannot help we will find someone who can.
