LESSONS
At Waymaker Ranch, we believe in helping horse and owner together. We prefer to only give lessons with you AND your horse. Don't have a horse? Let us help you find one! There are some exceptions where we will teach you about horses with our ranch horses to learn the basics of horse ownership and handling, not sure if we offer what you are looking for-just ask! If we cannot help you we will find someone who can!

Private Lesson
Private lessons are with you and your horse, together.
While this MAY be a riding lesson, Mandy watches the relationship between the two of you from the moment she meets you both during your consultation meet up. Together we "fill holes" as they arise. This may be with you, it may be with the horse, it is usually both. Often we set a big goal with our horse, but miss the truth that there are other things to work on that are much smaller goals, that will ultimately help you reach the bigger objectives so that you can have a long, enjoyable life together.
These are not your traditional riding lessons. While that can be a part of the lesson, and may be the ONLY thing to work on, we suggest you have an open mind that the path to success is a better relationship with your horse, a horse that is trained for your hopes and dreams, and a partnership to get yourselves there. These lessons can be just about anything-want to build confidence, enter your first show, level up in your showing, learn how to ride better, learn how to train, learn how to drive a trailer better, learn more about tack, nutrition, basic first aid, how to trim hooves, how to purchase and maintain your tack, how to pick out a horse to buy...literally just about ANYTHING that has to do with horses we want to show you the way!
Your first step is a consultation with Mandy. We do not want to waste anyone's time or money if our program is not a fit for you. For more information about that, click on the "Get Started" button. There you will learn more about the consultation process, why it is so important, and how to make an appointment.
The fine print: Private Lessons are $75/hour. Lessons must be booked a week in advance, though some exceptions are possible. Lessons are to be paid for ahead of time. Your lesson time starts at your time slot. If you are late, your lesson time will end at the end of the scheduled hour regardless of when you arrive and are ready. We will get into specifics at the consultation or simply call Mandy with questions anytime. All lessons must be canceled within 24 hours. No refunds are given, but we will reschedule. The first reschedule is free. Any other reschedules adds a $10 fee. This will restart at the beginning of the year (January 1). You are encouraged to wear a helmet, especially minors. We reserve the right to make a helmet mandatory if we feel that you are in increased danger of falling off or getting kicked during ground work. You assume all risks and will sign a waiver during the consultation once we have a plan in place. We are SO excited to work with you and your horse. We truly believe those who cross our paths are meant to be there.
